Up, Up, and

not going anywhere!! (Please try to ignore the fithly child, he really did enjoy the popsicle). Ben will now stand up in the middle of the room, but he will absolutely not take a step. He actually gets really mad at us when we won't come get him and he yells at us. Ben's big brothers usually give in and go and get him, this makes the situation worse because Ben does not like the way he gets hauled around by them!!

This post does not have a title because I was just trying to figure out if I could get the little video clips on my cell phone onto my blog somehow. Still don't know if it is going to work, and if it does happen to work I am not sure how good the picture is going to be.

This is Ben in the bathtub tonight. He probably stood up and sit down fifty times and thought it was the funniest thing. Yes, mom, he is fine we didn't have to get stitches!! Although, he did finally fall back and go under the water and quickly decided he wanted to get OUT!

To bad my phone only takes 10 second clips. I swear I am going to get a new video camera and a new computer before summer rolls around!

Fessing Up!

I feel like I have some explaining to do about a couple of things, especially after reading the comments on my last post.

1. First of all if it was up to me I would not let Sam wear that little itty bitty tight tank top. The funny thing about it is that Max got it and some matching boxers for his birthday last year and it is now to little (obviously). Several weeks ago I went into the boy's bedroom and Max is tugging as hard as he can to get that shirt on Sam. He said it was to little for him so he was passing it on. Little does he realized Sam may be younger but he is bigger!! I have put it away twice, they keep finding it.

2. Okay here goes, "I never make beds". The truth is Max's bed never gets unmade. For some odd reason he sleeps on top of his comforter, he just wants his sheets. It does make his room look neater. Here is a another funny story about that. At Cubbies last Wed. the lesson was about helping. The last activity was a coloring sheet with scenes about helping around the house (trash, sweeping, dusting, bed making, etc.). As Max's teacher is discussing the ways the children can help around the house Max proceeds to point to the bed making picture and inform his teacher that "We don't do that at our house, my mom doesn't even do that at our house." Nice, huh? He then proceeds to say that "My mom does make me make my bed when we have a birthday party."

Well, now that I have gotten that off of my chest I feel a little better!!

ROCK STARS!!!

A couple of nights ago Max and Sam are supposed to be getting ready for bed, obviously they have found better things to do. They come running into the family room telling us that we need to come and see their "performance". We agree and as we enter the bedroom this is what we find.

As you can see Max is on the guitar, Sam is on the drums (and leader singer, I guess). Max has also decided that they need fans (stuffed animals, dinosaur, etc). But I can honestly say that I am not sure why he propped the cubbies book on the end of the bed. What made the performance was the fact that Max and Sam both played their own tunes (the drums and the guitar play some random thing) and Max would activate the turtles, which also play something different!! It was quite the jam session. These poor boys really do take after their mother (musically).

CHA CHING $$$$

I truly wish that I was one of the first investors in McDonald's. These people have figured out what kids like (adults also) and capitalized on it. My kids see those golden arches and go haywire. They always ask to go in and play and we never do, so I decided to let them play this evening (of course getting them to leave is another issue all together.)
Ben ireally likes the tunnels and is just now big enough to get himself into them. Lucky for me this is as far as he can make it before sllliiiiiding back down. (Sorry about the funny lighting in the pics, but the sun was glaring in the windows.)
Max was pretending to be a monster in this cage and would "get" any other child that would come near. Pretty scary huh?
Sam was so concerned that the other children were not "watching out for my baby brother", that he was doing way more damage trying to "rescue" him.
